Convergent Capital approaches its relationship with its affiliates
as a Progressive Partnership.
A Progressive Partnership is one in which CCM serves not
only as our affiliates’ financial partner, but also as
their trusted advisor. A progressive partner is not a passive
investor. Rather, the progressive partner both supports affiliates
and simultaneously challenges them to become even better.
Our model of Progressive Partnership follows three key principles:
- Shared ownership – Equity is a key motivator for our affiliates.
CCM prefers a flexible approach to ownership structure. Because no two investments
are identical, we are more interested in structuring a relationship that meets
everyone's needs. Sharing the ownership of each CCM affiliate with its management
team provides incentives for sustaining success.
- Independence - Affiliates require operational autonomy.
After affiliation with CCM, an affiliate continues to operate under its own name
with no change in the firm's leadership, independence, investment philosophy
or approach. The affiliate’s management team retains operational autonomy.
This assures freedom in business decisions including compensation, incentives
and reinvestment. This is accomplished through a unique revenue sharing arrangement
that also provides the holding company with opportunities to reinvest in affiliates.
- Adding value – Affiliate organizations are CCM’s clients.
As a Progressive Partner, we employ an operating style of open communication
and strive for consistency of support. We work with our affiliates to improve
sales, marketing and client retention. We also work with our affiliates to enhance
their general business management practices and attract and develop strong leadership
teams. Our experience in execution ensures that we add the strategic value our
affiliates need to succeed.
