Convergent Capital
Management was founded by the three principals of Hayes & Griffith,
Inc.: James E. Hayes, H. Tom Griffith, and Richard H. Adler.
For 13 years, they developed significant expertise in mergers
and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities underwriting,
venture capital and research and trading. They created a
track record marked by resourcefulness, judgment and integrity.
Milestones:
November 2007 — Clifford Associates
and Philip V. Swan Associates merge, with assistance from
CCM, to form Clifford Swan Investment Counsel.
May 2007 — Convergent Capital Management
completes acquisition of Lydian Wealth Management.
May 2006 — CCM acquires a majority
interest in Independence Investments (Boston, MA).
April 2006 — Mid-Continent Capital
and Bufka & Rodgers merge with assistance of CCM.
April 2003 — City National Corporation
acquires majority interest in Convergent Capital Management.
July 2002 — Clifford
Associates completes acquisition of Hamilton Investment
Management (Glendale, CA) with assistance from CCM.
September 2000 — Mid-Continent Capital
completes lift-out of US equity team with assistance from
CCM.
June 1999 — Clifford Associates (Pasadena,
CA) affiliates with CCM.
June 1999 — SKBA Capital Management
(San Francisco, CA) affiliates with CCM.
April 1998 — Philip V. Swan Associates
(Pasadena, CA) affiliates with CCM.
June 1997 — Mid-Continent Capital
Management (Chicago, IL) affiliates with CCM.
February 1997 — Bufka & Rodgers
(Schaumburg, IL) affiliates with CCM.
August 1995 — AMBS Investment Counsel
(Grand Rapids, MI) affiliates with CCM.
October 1994 — Convergent Capital
Management founded by Richard H. Adler, H. Tom Griffith and
James E. Hayes.
